In discussions with Odile Renaud-Basso, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Zelensky addressed the need for financial assistance in Ukraine’s energy sector and the protection of critical infrastructure. The talks also included support for Ukrainian exporters and domestic producers, with a specific focus on farmers.
President Zelensky highlighted that Ukraine has solidified its defense priorities for October, which include ongoing long-range operations and preparations for receiving additional F-16 aircraft by the year’s end. Additionally, Ukraine is developing an interceptor system to counter the threat of faster, jet-powered Shahed drones. The initial prototypes have been selected, and efforts are underway to determine production targets, funding, and timelines.
