Russian President Vladimir Putin has advocated for a more stable multipolar world order, attributing the current global security crisis to bloc confrontations and some nations’ attempts to secure unilateral advantages. During the 23rd annual meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club, Putin emphasized the need for compromise and negotiation to resolve the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, rather than pursuing the defeat of either party. He highlighted Russia’s interest in seeing Ukraine remain neutral once the conflict concludes.
Putin argued that the previously dominant unipolar international system is transitioning to a multipolar order. He called for enhanced cooperation that respects the interests of various countries, expressing Russia’s readiness to collaborate with other nations to establish a framework for a more stable global system.
In a separate development, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the first combat deployment of Ukraine’s domestically produced FP-7 tactical ballistic missile. While Zelenskyy did not disclose specific details regarding the location or target of the missile’s use, he indicated that Ukraine plans to advance toward production of the missile.
